We are delighted to announce that Heirs and Graces has been nominated for a 2014 Scottish Traditional Music Award for “Album of the Year” and the ceremony, which this year is being held in Inverness on the 13th of December, will be broadcast live on BBC Alba. The other nominees in the category are Duncan Chisholm, Patsy Reid and Emily Smith and we are absolutely honoured to be included on a list of such fantastic artists. Adam and the band’s live session for BBC Radio 3’s “World on 3” programme hosted by Mary Ann Kennedy was recorded last Friday and includes five tracks with one new unreleased song, Well Paid Man. You can listen to the programme here.

Adam Holmes and the Embers were included in a recent live session on Iain Anderson’s BBC Radio Scotland show (30 July), a special outdoor broadcast from Pacific Quay, as part of Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games cultural programme. An impressive lineup also included Rab Noakes, James Grant, Siobhan Miller Band, Emily Smith and Allan Taylor. The concert was filmed and live-streamed on the BBC website.
